Language is a funny thing. Beyond the vocabulary, I want to understand the personality, thoughts, and emotions of the person. In a foreign-to-me language, one known for “beating around the bush” my goal of connecting at the heart level, and getting to Jesus, seems like roping the moon.
Yet, with my feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace, I see Him giving me opportunities to use the simple words and phrases I know. I can communciate on a simple level, a simple truth. God loves you, and Jesus died for you. I get excited listening to my Thai friends share Jesus, because they tell His story in these simple words as well. They use words like freedom, forgiveness, peace, and trust. I know those words, and hearing them tell their story using those same words, fills my heart to the brim.
"You have never truly found Jesus if you do not tell others about him.” Charles Spurgeon
“God’s plan for enlarging His kingdom is so simple – one person telling another about the Savior. Yet we’re busy and full of excuses. Just remember someone’s eternal destiny is at stake. The joy you’ll have when you meet that person in heaven will far exceed any discomfort you felt in sharing the gospel.” Charles Stanley
Do you take the time to tell others the story God is writing with your life, and how it all started with Jesus?I love to hear how God is speaking and working in the lives of His children, so please “tell” me below how He is helping you grow, glow, and go!
Hi! My name is Rachael and I am a child of God. I was saved from sin and all its bondage at the age of 21. I am married to an incredible man. He constantly challenges me to grow closer to my Saviour. We have three beautiful children that love the Lord. Currently, our family is preparing to go to Thailand as missionaries.
