I am not a dreamer, but tell me your dream, and I can plan it all out for you. It would be my pleasure to help you in such a way. Just do not ask me to come up with the big picture. I’ll handle all the little details, thank you so very much. Can you imagine how deputation must have been for me? Oh, sure, I knew the big picture, but details were always a little hazy. And coming to Thailand?! Ha! It was hard to even plan for packing! It’s not like I can plan exactly how much my kids will grow, how quickly clothes will wear out, or how much weight I will gain. Uhh…random thought. Sorry!
Shortly after deputation started, I adopted my pastor’s most used saying, “Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.” The first time I heard that, I wasn’t too thrilled and thought to myself that God is a God of order, not chaos. I have since learned flexibility, or the need for me to flexible, is in no way a reflection of God. However, my lack of flexibility (or grace I as I call it now) is a huge reflection of my stubborness and sin nature.
There are many benefits to having a plan and sticking to it, but there are also many unexpected blessings from learning to go with the flow.

Hi! My name is Rachael and I am a child of God. I was saved from sin and all its bondage at the age of 21. I am married to an incredible man. He constantly challenges me to grow closer to my Saviour. We have three beautiful children that love the Lord. Currently, our family is preparing to go to Thailand as missionaries.
